Alessandro D'Arcadia
An international career built around hospitality, real estate and property management — brought home to Rome.
Born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil, Alessandro D'Arcadia has built an international career centered around hospitality, real estate and property management.
In his early twenties, he moved to Orange County, California, to learn English and immerse himself in American culture. During his ten years in California, Alessandro worked in the hospitality industry, where he developed a strong passion for customer service, attention to detail and creating memorable guest experiences. It was also there that he met and married his wife.
After returning to São Paulo, Alessandro became a licensed real-estate broker, gaining valuable experience in residential sales and property investment. In 2008 he became the first Brazilian host on Airbnb, listing his apartment in São Paulo shortly after the platform launched. His pioneering approach earned him recognition and demonstrated his vision for the future of short-term rentals.
Sixteen years ago, Alessandro and his wife decided to move to Rome to be closer to her family. What was meant to be a new chapter quickly became a lifelong passion. Today he has over 20 years of experience in the short-term rental industry, managing and optimizing vacation properties in one of the world's most competitive tourism markets.
